Our COVID-19 Response

For our valued clients:

We are excited to welcome you to The Highlander Spa. When open, will be under strict protocols to ensure the safest practices for our clients and staff in accordance with our associations and provincial health regulations. Both staff and clients are required to wear a non-medical mask. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you. If having a face service (shave, facial, waxing etc.) the mask may be removed only during the duration of the service.

Physical distance of 2 meters (6 feet) between clients and staff members must be able to be maintained whenever possible. Wearing a mask does not replace social distancing requirements

COVID-19 Protocol

As a spa we are committed to

  • Meeting or exceeding all provincial regulatory guidelines related to sanitation and hygiene
  • Prohibiting employees who have a fever or are sick from engaging with guests or other staff members
  • All staff are trained on proper sanitation and hygiene standards
  • Washing hands for a minimum of 20 seconds at the start and end of every service
  • Sanitizing treatment areas between each service
  • Always providing clean sanitized linens for each service

As a spa guest we are requesting from you

  • Refrain from visiting the spa if you have a fever or communicable illness
  • Refrain from visiting the spa if you are under an isolation/quarantine order or have been in contact with someone who has not isolated/quarantined 14 days after returning from outside Atlantic Canada
  • Respect The Highlander Spa’s sanitation and hygiene standards and processes posted through out the spa
  • Washing hands for a minimum of 20 seconds once you have arrived at the spa
  • Sharing special sanitation or hygiene requests prior to arriving at the spa
  • Please refrain from handling products in the retail area. It would be our pleasure to assist you with your retail purchases.
  • Pre- book your next service! We will be excited to have you back!

COVID-19 pre-screening

In the interest of public health, The Highlander spa will be screening guests during the booking process and once you have arrived at the spa. All employees will also be screened upon arrival for work.

Screening questions

If you have any of the following symptoms:

  • fever (chills, sweats)
  • cough or worsening of a previous cough
  • sore throat
  • headache
  • shortness of breath
  • muscle aches
  • sneezing
  • nasal congestion or runny nose
  • hoarse voice
  • diarrhea
  • unusual fatigue
  • loss of sense of smell or taste
  • red, purple or blueish lesions on the feet, toes or fingers without clear cause

Have you been in contact with anyone with respiratory illness or is confirmed/suspected of a case of COVID- 19?

Have you traveled outside of Atlantic Canada in the last 14 days?

Have you been in close contact with anyone who has been outside of Atlantic Canada in the last 14 days?

If you answer yes to any of the above questions, we kindly ask you to reschedule your services at a later date and contact 811 for more information and screening to see if you should go for COVID-19 testing
